Simon accepts briefs in a broad range of matters with a focus on Criminal Law.
Simon completed his law degree in England, relocated to Melbourne and was admitted to the Victorian jurisdiction in 2010 thereafter gaining experience as a solicitor.
Before coming to the bar Simon has worked for several well recognised law firms; Herbert Smith Freehills (Australasian Law Awards 2016 – International Firm of the Year), Robinson Gill Lawyers (2016 LIV Awards Finalist & 2016 Australian Law Awards Finalist) and Weightmans (Top 45 Law Firm in the United Kingdom).
He signed the Bar Roll in September 2016 and since then has worked in all aspects of Criminal Law representing clients and the Office of Public Prosecutions in the Magistrates' and County Courts from bail applications and filing hearings to committals, pleas, appeals and contested hearings.
Simon is a member of and contributes to the committees of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in London.
Simon read with two mentors: Tara Hartnett and Tim Sowden. Simon's senior mentor was George A Georgiou S.C.
